Sue's Views

This was the day we traveled north with Sally and Bill to 40 mile point light house. There is a ship wreckage right on shore (or what remains of the bottom hull). We were searching for interesting shells. I just kinda liked this picture, with my baptism coming up this weekend and all. Ker-ploosh!
Love ya,
Sue
P.S. I got the Hughes re-installed. I'm back in business.

That's a great picture of you, Sue. I'm not sure of the correct words for wishing someone well on their baptism, but "ker-ploosh!" might be appropriate. Have a great weekend. We are all proud of you for "taking the plunge."

All I can say is, "Splish, splash, you'll be takin' a bath..."

That's really great! We're happy for you!

When we do baptisms at our church, we always sing this song. The beauty of the lyrics always makes me cry.

Child of Blessing, Child of Promise

Child of blessing, child of promise,
baptized with the Spirit's sign;
with this water God has sealed you
unto love and grace divine.

Child of love, our love's expression,
love's creation, loved indeed!
Fresh from God, refresh our spirits,
into joy and laughter lead.

Child of joy, our dearest treasure,
God's you are, from God you came.
Back to God we humbly give you;
live as one who bears Christ's name.

Child of God your loving Parent,
learn to know whose child you are.
Grow to laugh and sing and worship,
 trust and love God more than all.

Amen
