Jim and I went to Ann Arbor on Sunday for the Classic Bicycle Show & Swap Meet.  It was very interesting and fun!  We saw this sign and funny thing was, it struck a chord with us!  Saved the $5 and just took a picture of the sign - that left $5 more to spend on bike parts!  Jim picked up parts for various bicycles that he is working on and we escaped the show without another bike.  Although, we did rescue one from my mom's yard... ahhhh - we've got it bad!

Sue's Views

This is one of the Floer Flower Favs from our vacation in Florida. A canna lily of such color! Ron snapped this on our walk through the Catholic church gardens.
By the way, Happy belated birthday, Shawn. I'm sure you had a happy day. The picture looks like Jim went over the top in the kitchen.
Love Rathblog and hope to make it a habit.

Shawn's Birthday!

We had a very rainy day today, but it did not dampen the celebration of Shawn's B-day! We had a fun day! (The candles have a secret message in roman numerals)

Spring Flowers

Now that my semester is over I have time to plant flowers!!! It took me a very long time to pick out what kind I wanted. Today I went to a local owned nursery and picked 6 celosia! They are sooo fun!!! Hope I put a smile on my mothers face today :)

Easter at the Floer's

We had a great time with the Thill's. We took a trip to Ocqueoc Falls, Cheboygan, cooked out on the grill, butter braid on Easter Sunday, church, Family Tree, laughed our heads off and had turkey dinner to cap off the weekend. Lots of homemade candy, Easter Baskets, Flowers and toys.
Wish you were here. Maybe next year. Love, Sue

So today was a normal Saturday. I was doing homework while Brandon gave a swim lesson to a good friends 5 year old son. My friend Katie's dad is in town so she has been taking him to all the yummy restaurants in town. She called today and asked if we wanted to go to Angie's for lunch. "UMM YESSS" I said! Its a crazy little sub shop that only the locals know about. So off we went... as we pull in to the parking lot there she was... a cute vintage style scooter with a for sale sign on it. So along with my yummy sub Brandon and I came home with a scooter!! YYIPPPEEEEE!! :)

What's the buzz in Hartland? A sewing bee!

About 20 friends from church had fun today sewing. This is Elizabeth G. holding a few of the finished dresses. We used pillow cases, most used, some new, to make these cute sun dresses for little girls who are victims of aids in Africa. We sewed about 80, some with pockets, lace, and ribbons. Does the one in the middle with orange flowers look familiar? It was one of mom and dad's! I brought home 11 to finish sewing the binding and tie (completed while watching the awesome MSU VICTORY!!). We had a pretty good assembly line going. Save those old pillow cases, we'll be at it again soon.
